I've always loved simple, feel-good, happy-ending movies, and this one certainly qualifies. We just rented "Penelope", and I have to say that I really liked it. I'm not going to over-analyze it-- one of the quotes at the end of the movie says a lot: "It's not the power of the curse; it's the power you give the curse." We have the power within us to change so much. Sometimes all it takes is just accepting the situation in which we're placed, loving ourselves for who we are and then moving forward. So if you like sappy, happy movies that don't require a lot of deep thinking to get a good moral out of the story, check this one out.

I watched it and I loved it! Good one! I am recommending it to everyone now, who asks me what a good movie is to watch. Right off I say, "Penelope!" It's definitely in the "must see!" category!!
I LOVE this movie as well! There is a power in realizing you have a say in what happens in your life and what you do with what you have dealt to you! Love it, Love it!!!
