I'm getting old!!!

Going to events like this really makes me feel old! One of the students I taught while I was teaching junior high a "few" years ago just got married! That's right-- I taught her in 8th and 9th grade, and now she's finished her Sophomore year of college and has gotten married. How time flies. It was wonderful to see her and meet her husband. Though they make me realize how much time has really passed since then, I rejoice in moments like this. It's so rewarding to see people that I could see so much potential in as 13-14 year olds growing and becoming such beautiful and successful grown-ups. Elise has always had such a bright countenance, and it was wonderful for me to see that nothing has changed!

"The best thing about getting old is that it takes a long time." You're not old. Elise is only a year older than me. I played softball with her for 6 years. I've known her my entire life. She is beautiful and amazing and I can't believe she is married. (that kind of scares me) It really does take a long time to "get old". You're not old, you are beautiful and amazing!! Trust me, my Grandma is old. Ha ha!! You're not old!

um, if you are old, then I am ancient. I know what you mean though. My first class of 4th graders graduate from HS this month. It's hard to imagine them older than 9.
