Finally getting better

Wow! February has been the "month of many sicknesses" for us. We started with the stomach flu which only Stephen managed to avoid. Then we moved on to pink eye. I guess that after feeling left out from not having the stomach flu, Stephen decided to start this one and share it with Mommy and Daddy before we finally got it under control! So Kaymi missed out on the pink eye. Then Andy and I have swapped horrible colds back and forth for the past three weeks. Now after three trips to the doctor between Andy and I, an ear infection for Andy and antibiotics for the both of us, we think we're on the mend! Stephen tried to join us with this cold, but he only had a low fever for two days and then bounced right back to his healthy little self. Kaymi has stayed "sickness-free" since we first started all of this, and I think she's felt a little bit left out. One afternoon she plopped down on the couch and informed me that she was sick. She told me that she needed to watch a movie, have a piece of toast and drink some water so that she'd feel better. So, I gave her the toast and water and we watched a movie together. Apparently that was the correct cure for her little "sickness" because she was her regular healthy self the rest of the day! So, what have we learned from all of this? Stephen and Kaymi definitely have stronger immune systems than Andy and I do, but this is probably related to the differences in the amount of sleep that we get! My night-owl habits have finally caught up with me (and by extention Andy has suffered). After being nearly out-of-commission for the past month, I may finally be ready to give up my old habits and work on making it to bed before midnight! And amidst all of this excitement I was actually able to get LASIK done on the 13th! More to come on that later....
